Here are a few photos of my exploits. I tried to post more, but
it wouldn't let me. So, for the next post, it will be more photos!

This is Gillian Sorenson, the former assistant secretary general of the
UN and current senior advisor and national advocate for the UN
Foundation. I saw her speak about the UN's role on the War on
Terror at American University.

This is Sen. Stabenow's legislative coordinator and I. I came to
her office to ask her to be a signer on the letter to the Arab League
asking them to stop supporting the government of Sudan and appeal to
them to support bringing in peace keeping troops. All 100
Senators and about 2/3 of the House signed the letter.

This is one of our delegations for the Stop Violence Against Women
campaign. We are at the Guatemalan Embassy asking them to take
action on the femicide in their country.

This is our delegation to the Mexican Embassy for the Stop Violence
Against Women campaign. They were much more professional about
the topic than the Guatemalan Embassy.

This is a picture of Kate and I outside of the Mexican Embassy.

You're a great American!
What's going on in Guatemala...this femicide that you refer to? I haven't heard about this.
It must be exciting to be in the hub of such political action.
You sure look like you are in your comfort zone Melissa. Making life UNCOMFORTABLE for the baddies and bullies of the world. I'll have to come back and catch up on that "new" political blog you started, but I gotta get to work now.
RYC; I'm getting rid of the car soon, and don't want to spend $400.00 on a car worth 100.00. So I keep tinkering with it. The slamming has stopped!
I was just looking through some Christian blogrings and found your site. I just wanted to say hello! Have you ever thought about getting out on the mission field? I want to challenge you to be thinking about how and where God wants to use you this summer. Think about it, he might have you trekking through the jungles in Panama, or going hut to hut in Africa. How awesome would that be?!?!
If you want more information about how you can get involved you can check out our website www.globalexpeditions.com or you can call 1-800-442-7515 Ext 6862.
God bless.
